About the Speakers:
Jonathan Ellis is a Director in the Singapore office of Accuracy, which he co-leads. He specialises in quantification of lost profits and valuations, in particular in dispute contexts, for litigation, arbitration and expert determination purposes, across a variety of sectors and geographies, including energy and natural resources. Jonathan has been appointed as expert on numerous occasions and has given oral testimony. He has worked on matters before the UK Commercial, Family and High Courts, in mediation processes as well as in ad-hoc, LCIA, HKIAC, ICC, SIAC and ICSID arbitration forums, including under the UNCITRAL rules.
Jonathan is a Physics graduate from Imperial College London and has a Master’s in Accounting and Management Science, with distinction, from the University of Southampton. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). |

Iain Potter is a Chartered Accountant and Director in MDD’s Singapore office specialising in litigation support and expert witness assignments, in particular those involving business valuations or complex loss of profits claims and has been instructed as an expert in court and arbitral proceedings in a number of jurisdictions including the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, India and the BVI. He is a Fellow of the Expert Witness Institute and founding council member of its Singapore branch.
Iain holds undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Law, a Master’s degree in Maritime Law from the University of London and is a current PhD student with the University of Leicester where his research focuses on adjustments for the time value of money and risk in awards of damages. He is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK (Fellow of the ICAEW) and Singapore (with ICSA) and holds a number of additional business valuation and finance qualifications. |
About the Chairperson:
Jelita Pandjaitan leads the Southeast Asia disputes practice of Linklaters conducting and advising clients on significant and complex cross-border commercial disputes through arbitration, courts and mediation. Jelita assists corporate and financial institution clients throughout the region and in collateral proceedings in London and New York. Jelita specialises in financial and energy and resource arbitration in the major Asian seats and using all the major institutions and rules (SIAC, HKIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL) including obtaining interim injunctive relief and enforcing arbitral awards in regional courts. Nominated by her peers, Jelita was appointed to the P.R.I.M.E Finance Panel of Experts for her invaluable legal and market expertise in financial products disputes. She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has conducted multiple appointments as sole or co-arbitrator. Jelita regularly speaks at arbitration conferences and seminars and has published several articles on arbitration developments. Jelita also has extensive experience in local and foreign regulatory and internal investigations, as well as advising on the contentious aspects of cross-border transactions, including conducting due diligence on bribery and corruption risks. She has been endorsed as a Recommended Lawyer for Financial Services Regulatory by Legal 500 Asia Pacific, 2019 where she is noted for her strong “focus on cross-border disputes and investigations for major international banks and corporations.” Jelita is admitted in Hong Kong and Australia and is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia. |
