SIArb YPN:
The Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) Young Practitioners Network (YPN) takes the lead on the Institute’s engagement with all young arbitration practitioners with less than 10 years’ experience in arbitration or below the age of 40. The YPN aims to promote a strong mentorship culture within the Institute with various mentoring initiatives and networking events. It also serves as a forum for young practitioners to exchange their thoughts and ideas on topical issues in arbitration through, amongst other events, the Annual Debate.
About this Event
The inaugural SIArb YPN Networking & Drinks Event, organised in conjunction with other young practitioners network - namely, the Young SIAC (YSIAC), the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) Young & International (Y&I) - presents young professionals across these networks with the unprecedented opportunity to attend an interactive panel discussion, on the topic of ‘How to Get Your First Arbitrator Appointment,’ before a networking session with drinks.
Event Programme
Following brief opening remarks, the SIArb YPN will moderate a discussion with speakers from across its co-organising networks, who will discuss how to get your first arbitrator appointment from the different perspectives of an arbitrator, as legal counsel, and from an appointing institution. Once the panel discussion concludes, all participants will be able to attend a networking session with drinks and canapes, to build more professional connections within the Singapore arbitration community.
